We use local products and raw materials
In our restaurant, environmental friendliness is reflected in the selection of local food, organic food, and seasonal vegetarian dishes. We want to make sustainable choices easy for you while offering wonderful taste experiences. We also focus on local products by sourcing flowers, plants, and firewood from local suppliers.
We choose ecological products
We use environmentally labeled detergents for cleaning. In cleaning, we use water and chemicals sparingly without compromising cleanliness.
We operate energy-efficiently
We save energy by using LED bulbs, motion sensors, and twilight switches in outdoor lighting. Additionally, over 180 solar panels collect solar energy for the resort's needs. Outside the peak season, we aim to save energy by keeping cottages ready for use according to reservation status. For example, electricity consumption is minimized by lowering the temperature to basic heating in some accommodation units.
We sort and recycle
We offer our guests an easy way to recycle and take care of nature, and we have arranged a waste sorting and recycling point in a central location. The recycling point has separate containers for bio, energy, paper, cardboard, metal, plastic, glass, vegetable oil, battery, and landfill waste. Additionally, each kitchen in customer use has sorting bins and clear instructions for recycling.
We save water
Water consumption is reduced by motion-sensor faucets in public restrooms and water-saving showers and faucet aerators in accommodation units.
We favor ecological transportation
Bus, train, and bicycle are ecological ways to travel, and it is easy to reach us by public transport. Additionally, our parking area has a charging station for electric cars.
We are also proud of the responsible actions of our partners. Saimaan Palju Events, responsible for our activity services, has been awarded both the EcoCompass and Sustainable Travel Finland certificates.
